Bruno Mars a właściwie Peter Gene Hernandez urodził się 8 października 1985 roku Honolulu na Hawajach. Jest amerykańskim wokalistą, autorem tekstów, modelem, tancerzem i producentem muzycznym. Od dzieciństwa rozwijał swój talent. Inspirował się takimi artystami jak Elvis Presley i Michael Jackson. Po ukończeniu szkoły średniej przeprowadził się do Los Angeles, tam dołączył się do grupy The  Smeezingtons. Jego utwory to: ,,Locked out of Heaven”, ,,The lazy song’’.
