Elena Jane ‘’Ellie’’ Goulding urodziła się 30 grudnia 1986 roku w Lyonshaa. Jest angielską wokalistką muzyki alternatywnej, pop electro-pop i dance, autorką tekstów i kompozytorka.Gra również na gitarze. Gdy miała 9 lat nauczyła się grać na klarnecie, a jako 15-latka zaczęła grać na gitarze. Studiowała na Kent University. Tam dostrzeżono jej talent. Otrzymała nagrody Critics Choice Awards podczas gali Brit Awards 2010 oraz Soud of 2010 w BBC Soud of 2010.
